Various News: Pontiac Silverdome Sold, Billy Graham vs. Linda McMahon, More

The Hartford Courant has an article up on the recent drama between Superstar Billy Graham and Linda McMahon. Graham stated that he plans to create a t-shirt with a picture of Linda on it, along with a bloody razor blade taped to her finger. Graham is offended that WWE has suddenly eliminated blood from the shows, due to her senate campaign. You can read the full article here. Here is a highlight, from WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt on the matter…

“He’s just a bitter, angry man who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. … Vince (McMahon) doesn’t hate Billy. If there’s any hate, it’s a one-way thing.”

– The Nashville Fairgrounds (former home of TNA weekly PPVs) will remain open until December 31st, 2010 so that the events that run there have more time to find a new home. There is also a movement to keep the Fairgrounds open, which you can check out here. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]

– The Pontiac Silverdome, which hosted WrestleMania III was sold for $583,000. Yes, just $583,000 for the stadium and the land it is on. The stadium cost $55.7 million to build (in 1975) and $1.5 million a year to maintain. The buyers plan to use the stadium for soccer and other events. [Credit: Bloomberg.com]
