#1 from Wrestlemania I - Muhamed Ali takes a swing at Piper and Jimmy Snuka prepares to leap down onto the bad guys from the top turnbuckle during the melee in main event. I remember telling my classmates about this particular moment from WM I. I was just about 14 years old and my friend had a satellite dish. Of course being fourteen you get easily distracted so by the time we got in from outside the show was near over and we only saw from the start of the Mr.T/Hogan - Orndorff/Piper match. Good thing it was replayed later but that match will always stand out in my mind.
#2 Wrestlemania III - Duh. Savage - Steamboat and their multiple two counts. This is really my first memory of seeing a classic WRESTLING match.
#3 Wrestlemania II - The Bulldogs meet the Dream Team and Davey fires Valentine full on into Dynamites head. Dynamite goes flying and Davey gets the pin. Just a great finish out of nowhere for the surprise win. At this point the Bulldogs were the greatest tag team in the world and not just Chris Benoit wanted to be Dynamite Kid. With tea and steroids there’s nothin’ you can’t do mate.
#4 Wrestlemania X - The Razor Ramon Shawn Michaels match showed me more than I had ever seen. The match was unbelievavble. Shawn Michael’s bare ass I could have done without though. Owen’s shocking pin of Bret was also a great memory from this Wrestlemania.
#5 Wrestlemania XIII - The image of Stone Cold gushing blood during the fantastic Hart/Austin double turn is etched into my brain. I should see someone about that I guess.
#6 Wrestlemania III - Andre seems to get the quick pin when Hogan collapses trying to slam him. I thought for sure Andre had won and was cheering at the TV screen. A great mark out memory.
#7 Wrestlemania VII - What was I, a sissy then? The Elizabeth/Savage get back together thing was really well done. A lesser man would have had tears in his eyes. Not me though..sniff..I..I just had something in my eye.
#8 Wrestlemania VI - Hogan’s super-duper legdrop of death MISSES the Warrior and the Ultimate Psycho wins the title. This was truly an epic moment and booked as such. Of course Hogan really didn’t pass the torch and will probably be back to stink up the ring.
#9 Wrestlemania XI - Diesel’s entrance consisted of a truck driving straight into the screen. It was projected on black glass and as the truck got right up to the screen the glass broke and diesel stomped out. The entrance was used again for Stone Cold but his timing wasn’t near as good as the Diesel entrance. Weird that that would stick in my mind come to think of it this might not have even happened at Wrestlemania. Ah well it’s cool.
#10 - Wrestlemania XV - The San Diego chicken attacks Kane and it turns out to be a revenge seeking Pete Ross. Now dat’s damn funny.
