411 TNA Impact Ranking 11.17.13: Kim, Angle & Roode Battle For Top Spot

November 17, 2013 | Posted by Dan Wojcik

Welcome to the 411 TNA Impact Rankings! I am Dan Wojcik and I am continuing to coming to you from an undisclosed location somewhere inside the heart of America. I know that some people feel that TNA is a WWE wanna be; and those people are welcome to their opinions. So here we are. I have set the 411 TNA Impact Rankings. This column is similar to the MP Schroeder’s WWE RPI Rankings. I want to have some fun with this. Lets get to work…

My Criteria Base:

  • Wins and Losses
  • Momentum
  • Overall Strength of Booking
  • Only TV and PPV Count Towards This
  • If You Hold a Title, Your Chances of Appearing Are Good, but not Guaranteed!

RANKINGS1. Gail Kim: Since Bound For Glory, Gail Kim has been your TNA Knockouts Champion! She was the first! She has been the longest reigning! With her open challenge still out there, we had an answer to it this week on Impact in the form of Hannah Blossom. While this was not a spectacular match, it was still a win for the Knockouts Champion.

RANKINGS2. Bobby Roode: Roode popped in for a brief EGO reunion at the start of Impact. He later on joined Dixie Carter and the other contestants in the ring; where it was announced that he would participate in a Bullrope match against James Storm. Roode points out the odds of Storm winning are pretty much ZERO. Thankfully, we did not get a Scott Steiner math demonstration here. Roode finished off the show with a final appearance during the Angle/Aries match in an effort to get further in the head of Kurt Angle.

RANKINGS3. Kurt Angle: The Cyborg went at it tooth and nail against the Greatest man that Ever Lived, Austin Aries; and won a submission match! despite Bobby Roode coming out and attempting to get into his head; Angle managed to lock in the Roode owns finisher of the Cross Face and got Aries to tap out!
RANKINGS4. Mr. Anderson: Mr. Anderson made an Impact this week in TNA. He upped the ante on his match with Bully Ray. While it is still a No DQ match, Mr. Anderson has put his career on the line. If he wins, then the Aces & 8’s must disband; if he loses, then he is gone from TNA.! Mr. Anderson then defeated Knux in a singles match. He ended the show by hitting a piledriver on the ramp on Bischoff./font>
RANKINGS5. Chris Sabin: He is your X-Division, former World Champion and Triple Crown winner. This week the man from Hell falls down a slot after having no tv time at all! If this trend continues, then Sabin will be joining the Bromans on their downward spiral.

RANKINGSRANKINGS6. Bromans: The Tag Tean champions take a bit of a dip this week, from 3 to 6. They received zero tv time and did not have a match for the second week in a row. As a result, I have kicked them out of the number 3 slot and shifted them down by three. If this trend continues, you can expect to see the Bromans fade from the rankings pretty quick.
RANKINGS7. Ethan Carter III: For the 5th week in a row, EC3 continues to be undefeated. This week he had a handicap match against Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum, the men he has been facing in singles matches for the last month. This week, he managed to pin both men to earn his spot at number 7 on the list!
RANKINGS8. Christopher Daniels: Daniels answers the challenge of Joseph Parks and accepted his offer of a match for this week. All the while, continuing the make references of how both Park Brothers are never seen together. And were is the TV Title anyway! Daniels managed to take advantage of the Rookie and get the win with a low blow, thus earnign his spot this wee and knocking Kaz out of the listing for the moment.
RANKINGS9. Joseph Parks: This one is booking alone. Parks went out and challenged Bad Influence to a singles match. Christopher Daniels accepted and Parks lost. But the real story is what came later in the show. Parks went down to the ring and issued an open challenge to Abyss for next week on Impact. Should be interesting to see how this plays out..
RANKINGS10. Bully Ray: Bully continues to forget who he is. He keeps coming out and asking us if he knows who he is. Surprisingly, no one has asked him if he knows who he is. Regardless, Bully continues to attempt to refocus the Aces & 8’s. When challenged by Mr. Anderson, he accepted the stipulation of career vs disband for his match with Mr. Anderson.
RANKINGS11. AJ Styles: Normally I only have TEN slots listed, but for the second week in a row, we will have an eleventh entry. AJ Styles continues to remain relevant on TNA programming, despite not actually being with the company. Thanks to the “Friends of AJ Styles”, we continue to get updates on his defenses in AAA. I sense unification match down the road.

  • Those on the outside looking in include: Eric Young, Kazarian, Samoa Joe, Magnus, James Storm, Gunner and Lei’D Tapa.
  • And that is the list for this week!
