Update on Brock Lesnar and the Rock’s WWE Contracts

April 6, 2012 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– As previously reported, Brock Lesnar’s WWE deal is believed to be for one-year, $5 million and for 30-40 appearance, which includes wrestling matches.

– Word is that even before Lesnar’s final UFC fight with Alistair Overeem, he had a $5 million deal waiting for him with WWE. Vince McMahon was said to be agreeable on the amount, but there was a lot of negotiating before both sides agreed on the number of appearances Lesnar would be obligated to make.

– The Rock has also signed a one-year contract, which will see him wrestle a few times this year, which does include WrestleMania 29.

– WWE is pushing big for next year’s event, with its sights on a Lesnar vs. Rock match. The goal is to sell out WrestleMania 29 on day one of ticket sales, which has not been done since 2007.
