Rey Mysterio Suffers Concussion at SummerSlam
– WWE.com is reporting that Rey Mysterio suffered a concussion at SummerSlam in his match against the Miz. The site reports that during the match, officials “suspected [a concussion] because he hit his head.” A precautionary impact test was performed and indicated that Mysterio did indeed have a concussion.
Rey is not currently cleared for in-ring action and has been removed from all events through the weekend. The company will hold off on allowing him to return until he passes an impact/neuropsych test, hopefully later this week, after which he can undergo exertion testing.
