411’s WWE NXT Report 07.11.11

July 13, 2011 | Posted by Tony Acero

Welcome one and all to 411’s WWE NXT Report! I am Tony Acero and I love all 11 of y’all. As we know, Derrick Bateman is back and is it me or is the crowd just not into him anymore? I think he comes across as a bit more forced than usual, don’t you? Well, let’s get to the show!

WWE NXT Report is brought to you by the ever talented, sometimes sexy, always whorish LITA!!!

Hey Tony, remember when I was your favorite Diva? I do….

We start the show with Derrick Bateman coming out to…HIS OWN music….interesting. Titus doesn’t have his own music….Young doesn’t have his own music. Anyways, Bateman grabs the mic. He welcomes us to NXT. He calls it the Super Terrific Derrick Bateman Happy Hour extraveganza. He claims that the WWE begged and pleaded for him to come back and save this show. He says the the two other competitors are seeking redemption, but he is here to redeem redemption. He’s here to win Season 5 and 6. The crowd doesn’t like this. He is cut off by Darren Young coming out to the NXT theme music as Regal says he doesn’t get Bateman.

Young wants to know who Bateman thinks he is. If Bateman thinks he is going to win NXT, he is mistaken. Young talks about main eventing Summerslam and wrestling John Cena. He has done more than Bateman will ever do. He then calls out Titus and says that he is not D. Young but at least he’s been here while Bateman has not. Bateman cuts in and doesn’t understand why Young is defending Titus. He calls Young a great in ring competitor and all Titus has is a dog bark. Then mentions Hornswoggle. He tells Darren Young that he needs to be careful because he may be the next one to go home.

Titus comes out to Horny’s music. He says that both of them have it all wrong but Bateman cuts him off and says he knows what he’s going to say, he’s going to say that this show is all about the WWE Universe and go for the cheap pop. The cheap pop that he was the MASTER of. Titus says if he’s the master, we must call him Master Bateman. They get all slap happy but Maryse comes out with a mic. She tells the boys to stop this bla bla bla and says that they will be in a Triple Threat match that starts right now. She butchers the word threat but I’ll allow it.

Match 1: Darren Young vs. Titus O’Neil vs. Derrick Bateman
Titus quickly clotheslines Bateman, and Bateman rolls to the outside. Young goes after Titus as Regal informs us that this is an elimination match. Titus with a hard clothesline, tossing Young outside over the turnbuckle. Woah! Bateman goes up to Young and tries to talk Young into ganging up on Titus. They both enter the ring looking to attack. Bateman goes on the offense first then Young. They end up stomping on Titus in the corner as Bateman mocks the bark. A double Irish Whip followed by two elbows then Young covers for a 1. Bateman then covers again for a 1. Young with some clubbing blows from behind then Bateman hits a splash and a pin for 1. Daniel Bryan is outside the ring, by the way. Young goes for a kick to the midsection while Bateman stomps on the chest of Titus. They go for a double suplex…and hit it! Bateman with a cover on Titus for 2. Young goes on the attack but Titus is fighting out of it, only to be stopped by Bateman. Young holds Titus in the corner as Bateman hits him with some kicks then a choke. Young with a hard right to Titus as Bateman covers for 2. TItus fights Bateman off but Young is there to attack. A whip and TItus reverses it then hits shoulder block. Bateman tries to attack and gets tossed for it. Young hits some rights on Titus just after Titus sends Bateman to the outside. Young with some right kicks then Young drops a leg on the apron. Bateman then does the same!!

Young rolls Titus in the ring and covers but only gets a 1. Young with a knee to the side of Titus’s face. Bateman does the same. Young celebrates as Titus reverses a hit from Bateman. Then Titus goes after Young and hits a Big Boot! Titus covers Young as Bateman rests in the corner. Bateman drops an axe handle on Titus at two. Bateman hangs up Titus on the bottom rope and they both berate Titus. They go for a double flapjack but Titus hits Young, Bateman hits an Enziguri then Young hits a powerslam on Bateman!! Young goes after Titus. He whips him to the ropes, Titus reverses with a shoulder block…then Clash of Titus!!!! He pins, but Bateman hits a dropkick to Titus’s head and pins Young himself for the 1…2…3!!!
Darren Young Eliminated

After a short break, we see Bateman getting tossed. Titus with an Irish whip but Bateman holds the ropes. Titus goes for a clothesline but Bateman telegraphs it then hits a dropkick to Titus. He pins but only gets a two. Bateman with a chin lock. Titus fights out of it but it’s short lived as Bateman slams him down. Bateman kicks Titus in the face then hits some HARD chops to Titus’s chest. Bateman locks up with Titus but Titus tosses him to the corner and gives some hard chops of his own. Titus with a whip to the corner, Bateman tries to get out of it, Titus covers up with a knee then a splash to the corner and a pin! 1…2….Nope! Titus goes after Bateman but Bateman slams Titus into the 2nd turnbuckle. Bateman with a boot to the throat of Titus then lifts him up for a whip to the corner and finally a nice looking dropkick. Pin. 1….2….No! Bryan goes for a modified Tazzmission but Titus keeps his hands locked and fights out of it with an arm drag. Titus with a shoulder block! Then a clothesline! Sideslam into a backbreaker! And a bark!! Titus sets up for the Fall Away Slam, tells me to make it a win and hits it! He pins. 1…..2..NOOOO! Bateman kicks out! Titus sends Bateman to the corner then hits a splash! Bateman falls. Titus hits the turnbuckle. He goes to the 2nd rope! He’s going for a flying clothesline it seems but Bateman ducks! Bateman with a bulldog like slam and he gets the win!
Winner: Derrick Bateman

Surprisingly, when the match was just Bateman and Titus, the match went rather well. I’m not saying that Young was the weak link, but they didn’t handle the triple threat really well. The last two ended up doing quite the opposite and ended up looking pretty good. Not amazing by any stretch, but good enough

Yoshi Tatsu is in the back with his action figure sans leg, and Striker comes in, asking about the action figure. Yoshi says that both honor and respect are very important. When Kidd broke the leg of his action figure, he insulted Yoshi’s honor. He is going to get the leg back AND his honor!

Backstage again and Hornswoggle is surrounded by Root Beer bottles and has a picture of Maryse in a frame. He looks at it longingly as Titus comes in. He asks where Hornswoggle was during his match then sees the picture. He tells Horny that he’s been in love before and drinking is not the answer. haha. A delivery man comes in for Horny and Swoggle signs it and receives a heart shaped box. Titus says it’s a secret admirer. Inside are little green candies and Hornswoggle thinks it’s Maryse that sent it to him. He kisses the picture numerous times.

In the back, yet again, Kozlov is on the phone and JTG walks by PSSSST-ing him loudly. He tells Kozlov that he didn’t come here to throw down, but wants to know if he wants to make another bet. Kozlov answers with laughter. JTG bets that Kozlov has no swag, no style and cannot be more gangster than JTG. Kozlov says JTG has a deal…..boooooiiiiii!!!!…this cannot end well.

Match 2: Tyson Kidd vs. Yoshi Tatsu
Grisham lets us know that those green candies were skittles. Now you know. lol. Kidd is still wearing the leg as a necklace. We start with….A go behind from Tyson. He turns it into a front face lock but Yoshi reverses it into an arm lock from behind. Tyson turns it around to a wristlock of his own. The crowd is very pro Yoshi. Tyson wrenches the arm, Yoshi kicks and does the same, but Tyson hits a right to the face of Yoshi, tosses him to the ropes but Yoshi holds on and Tyson goes for a dropkick which misses. Yoshi goes on the attack but Kidd rolls outside. Yoshi follows and chases him to the side of the ring. He gets a kick in then a hard chop. And another! Some weird glitch and all of a sudden we are back in the ring….weird. Tyson with a right then sends Yoshi to the corner and chokes Yoshi with the boot for a bit. Tyson with a hard right to the back of Yoshi then chokes him on the top rope. Tyson kicks him in the gut, then drops an elbow on the back of his head. Tyso sends Yoshi to the corner but Yoshi fights out with a chop. Again. And another…good lord, that was hard! Yoshi with a double chop then his three kick move, sending Tyson to the ropes. Tyson moves to the side and hits a Side leg sweep….without the leg sweep. lol. Yoshi rolls to the outside as we take a break

We are back with tyson holding Yoshi in a scissors lock. We get a replay of a suplex on the outside to Yoshi that we missed during the commercial. Regal namedrops The Dynamite Kid. Yoshi hits a crucifix pin in the ring for two and Tyson hits Yoshi with a right then a neckbreaker and a pin…1…2…NO! Tyson stands on Yoshi’s right hand for a while then sends him to the ropes and hits a hard back elbow then pins for 2. Tyson with a reverse headlock as the crowd cheers him out of it. Yoshi fights out with some rights then a back suplex. The ref counts to three before Tyson hits Yoshi right in the head with a knee! Tyson with a whip, he clotheslines but misses, allowing Yoshi to hit a roundhouse kick! Both men down again and the ref starts the count. Tyson up just before 7! Yoshi hits some chops!! A kick then a slingshot ot the corner and finally some knees to the back of Kidd! Northern lights for 2!!!! Yoshi hits Tyson in the back with a kick, then the front. He goes for the third one but Tyson ducks and hitsa double kick to Yoshi before he hits a kick to the gut, hits the ropes then the side of the head and gets a 2!!! Tyson goes for the Sharpshooter but Yoshi fights out, only for Tyson to hit a leg drop! Tyson with a whip, Yoshi kicks him then clotheslines Tyson over the top rope! It looks like Yoshi is gonna fly!!! Yoshi hits the ropes and is about to go through the ropes but NOOOOO Tyson kicks him right in the head! Tyson takes advantage and goes up top to drop an elbow…but Yoshi puts his knees up!!! Yoshi signals for the kick, but Tyson pulls Yoshi and sends his face to the turnbuckle. Tyson up top again but Yoshi crotches him!! Yoshi with some chops to the higher Tyson! He joins him up top and looks like we’re going for a suplex but Tyson fights out and sends him hanging on the top rope. Tyson stands atop the top rope….MOONSAULT!! Oh, but he MISSES as Yoshi rolls out of the way! Yoshi with a go behind. Roll up and a Backlund bridge for the win!!!
Winner: Yoshi Tatsu

Yeah, that’s four AJ’s! Maybe I’m being a bit overzealous with the rating, but this match was all sorts of awesome. After last week’s somewhat lackluster (yet STILL better than most) match following their amazing first match, I was worried about this one. My worries were shot right in the head with this thing of beauty. Seriously, a great match….and keep it mind that the driving force behind it is the leg of an action figure.

After the match, Yoshi goes to grab his leg but Tyson attacks Yoshi and takes the leg. haha. It looks like this is not over, but the show is! Amazing main event. See you guys next week!
