411’s IMPACT WRESTLING REPORT 11.15.12 (Episode 436)

Reminder, I do not rate matches that are under three minutes long…

-Opening video package.

-We are LIVE in Orlando!

-James Storm makes his way to the ring to kick off the show. Storm talks about the last year being rough on him, but he did it. He thanks the fans, who have always been there for him, his family who always stood behind him and the people that said he couldn’t do it. They all fueled him to become what he is today, and now, he is the #1 contender for the TNA World Title.

Bobby Roode now makes his way to the ring, and he has beers! Roode says that he is not here to fight or spoil the party; he is here to join it. He has beers for them, and Roode says he thanks Storm. Roode says he pinned AJ and not himself, so Storm once again prospered from his hard work. He then says the fans will watch Storm fail once again at becoming the TNA champion. Roode then brings up Storm’s daughter, since she will have to console Storm when h takes his ball and goes home again. Storm attacks as Roode drinks his beer, looks for the superkick but Roode bails. Storm says to come on back and he will kick his ass. Roode says he will fight, but only if Storm puts his title shot on the line. Storm says he worked too hard to earn the spot, and Roode says to go get his daughter and call Roode when she turns 18 so she can meet a real man. Storm then accepts the challenge for tonight.

-We see Hulk Hogan saying he feels bad that AJ Styles lost at the PPV and cannot get a title shot until next year. Hogan says AJ is a main event guy, but to see him in the same spot he’s been in for years, he would wish better.

-Highlights of Aces ad 8s beating down Sting last week.

-Aces ad 8s meet in their club and talk with Doc about losing his mask. He defends himself, and says he will do what he has to do to prove himself. For now, they take his cut (vest). Devon says they have business to deal with, and they throw a dart to choose the next victim.

X-Division Title Match: RVD © vs. Kid Kash

Kash attacks RVD as he enters the ring. Off the ropes and after some sloppy counters, RVD with a roll up for 2. Side headlock by Kash, off the ropes and kicks by RVD. Kash counters, back to the headlock. Off the ropes and after some counters, Kash with the RANA on RVD to the floor. Kash with the slingshot to the floor and hits another RANA. He rolls RVD back into the ring, and covers for 2. RVD back with rights, an Irish whip and Kash to the ropes and counters the monkey flip with the clothesline. Kash up top now, and misses the springboard moonsault. RVD off the ropes with the sidekick. Rolling thunder connects and RVD covers for 2. Rake of the eyes by Kash, looks for a choke, but RVD escapes and gets a spin kick in the corner. Irish whip, monkey flip by RVD. Up top, frog splash and that is all.

-ODB and EY meet backstage, and EY discusses his adventures on his new TV show. But right now they are awesome, and he will take care of Jesse from Big Brother tonight. EY then says to think about how they will celebrate their wins later tonight, and they make out.

-Kurt Angle talks with Wes Briscoe and Garett Bischoff. Angle needs a tag partner for tonight, and they both make their cases. Angle then decides on Garett, and tells Wes he has major plans for him.

Eric Young w/ODB vs. Jesse From Big Brother w/Tara

And here we go as EY locks up with the referee, which allows Jesse to attack him from behind. Slams him down and Jesse covers for 2. Jesse lays the boots to EY, gets a powerslam and poses. Leg drop connects and he covers for 2. Jesse chokes out EY in the ropes, and then slams EY to the corner. Nice standing dropkick from Jesse, and then rights to EY in the corner. Irish whip by Jesse, EY with the Flair corner flip and then slides in and lays rights into Jesse. Off the ropes and Jesse grabs the abdominal stretch and then lays in elbows to the ribs. EY with the hip toss escape, Jesse with rights, EY powers up and drops his pants and its speedo time. Rights to Jesse, flying forearm by EY. Tara in the ring, but ODB spears her and takes her to the floor. Powerslam by EY, he heads up top but Jesse tosses him to the floor. Tara attacks ODB and then rolls EY back in. Jesse hits a stunner and that is all.

-AJ Styles breaks his silence tonight.

-We get highlights of Joseph Park vs. Doc from Turning Point.

-Park talks with Hogan about having one more match with Aces and 8s. Hogan refuses, and says his job is on the line, so he will take down Aces and 8s down one at a time. Park says Hogan needs to see the man on the inside, but Hogan says he isn’t trained and cannot be in the ring. Park then says he should go to wrestling camp, and will enroll right away and when he returns he will be ready. Hogan says he will not be back.

-Magnus comes out for a TV Title rematch with Samoa Joe. Hoe do people keep getting title shots when they do not win matches? Aces and 8s attack him on the way to the ring and beat him down with a bat. Devon directs traffic, and then they hold him down and Devon directs Doc to beat down Magnus with the hammer. He targets the knee, and as Devon looks for a kill shot to the head with a baseball bat, Bully Ray and agents make the save.

-EMTs attend to Magnus. Stretcher time.

-Highlights of Hardy vs. Aries from Turning Point.

-We see Austin Aries backstage. Aries shows off his bruises, and when asked what is next, Aries says he is not done with Hardy. He walks in on Hardy getting a massage, and Aries says that Hardy beat him in his own specialty, but he will give him respect for what he did. Aries says he brought it out of him because he is the standard. Aries says it is not over, because Aries wants the title. Aries tells him to enjoy the massage. INNER THOUGHTS OF JEFF HARDY TIME!

-Angle calls out Aces and 8s, and says no one threatens him. He is here with a partner, and they are waiting.

Devon & A Masked Member of Aces and 8s vs. Kurt Angle and Garett Bischoff

Angle and Bischoff attack at the bell, and Angle and Devon to begin things. Angle in control, belly to belly connects. Rights by Devon follows, tag to the masked man and he works over Angle in the corner. Angle fires back with kicks and rights, tag to Bischoff and he works the arm. To the corner, Bischoff breaks clean. Bischoff off the ropes with the shoulder block, a dropkick follows and then works the arm. Tag to Angle, who works the arm as well. Off the ropes, cheap shot by Devon and he then tags in. A suplex follows and then an elbow drop and cover for 2 Off the ropes and a back spinning elbow by Devon. Tag to the masked man, who shots Angle to the corner and hits the corner splash. He then covers for 2. Front facelock by the masked man, Angle fights out with rights, and then gets a German suplex. One for Devon now and he fires up. Bischoff is attacked on the floor, Angle fights people off, Doc in and then Wes Briscoe makes the save for Angle. Low blow by Angle to the masked man, roll up for the win by Angle.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Angle and Bischoff @ 5:00 via pin

-Angle and Bischoff escape with out getting beat down.

-Jesse and Tara look for Brooke Hogan, and they head to her office and walk in and they find Brooke and Bully Ray on the couch in a compromising position. Bully Ray bails and Brooke bitches that they didn’t know on the door. Tara then says to lock the door next time.

-Dixie Carter discusses what AJ has gone through this year. She says that AJ’s head isn’t in the game right now. She has never seen AJ this unfocused.

#1 Contender’s Battle Royal: Miss Tessmacher vs. Mickie James vs. Gail Kim vs. ODB vs. Madison Rayne

Taryn Terrell is the official. And here we go as they all begin brawling right at the bell. James and Rayne pair off in a corner, as Kim and Tessmacher battle in another, ODB is down. ODB decides to chill for a bit as Rayne chokes out James with the boot. James fights back as Kim lays the boots to Tessmacher. Kim tosses Tessmacher to the apron, and ODB attacks Kim. Rayne makes the save and they whip ODB to the corner. Corner attacks by Kim, Tessmacher back in and helps out ODB. Monkey flip to Kim, but Kim and Rayne eliminate Tessmacher. ODB and James trade rights, but then attack Kim and Rayne. Flapjack to Rayne by James, sack of shit slam by ODB to Kim, followed by the rusty trombone. ODB on the ropes, and Rayne gets slammed into the dirty south. Kim is next, and ODB seems very happy. James tries to toss Rayne, who saves herself until ODB spits moonshine in her face and she is eliminated. Kim tosses ODB after she and James have some miscommunication. Rights by James, but a clothesline by Kim stops that. Kim chokes out James with the boot, and forearms follow. Back elbows by James, head scissors takes Kim to the apron. Kim tries to grab James, who hits a kick and that sends Kim to the floor and that is all.

-Storm discusses the consequences of putting his title shot on the line tonight. AJ Styles walks by, looking like a sad puppy, and Storm says he is done with the interview.

-Aces and 8s meet backstage and they tell Doc to not let the door hit him in the ass on the way out. He opens the door to leave and they give him his cut back, and then they celebrate.

-Highlights of Roode vs. Storm vs. Styles from Turning Point.

-AJ Styles makes his way to the ring. Styles says in case you missed the show, he lost at the PPV in a match where the stakes were never higher. Now, he cannot challenge for the TNA World Title until BFG in 2013. But that’s the kind of year he had. He was accused of banging Dixie Carter, having a baby with a crack head, but the worst thing was that the people doubted him. People just didn’t believe in him. he was so close to winning the BFG Series, and he thinks he could have won, but it didn’t happen. The year isn’t over yet, and they have the holidays coming up. But h isn’t thankful for anything this year…

And now Kaz and Daniels make their way to the ring. Kaz mocks AJ, saying he is like a hound dog, crying all the time. Daniels then says Styles is 100% accurate. This has been the worst year of AJ’s career. Daniels say sit is bad, but the source of Styles’ problems are all his fault. Daniels says that Styles is a broken and flawed little man. So go ahead and cry to the fans, because Daniels has been saying for the last year that Styles is a failure. Styles says that he has beaten Daniels more times than he can remember. Styles wants them to face, one last time, and then, they will know who the better man is. Kaz says that Daniels has nothing to gain from that, because Styles is stale. Kaz then says Styles doesn’t know who he is anymore, while they are riding high, on top of their game, and the real world tag team champions of the world. Daniels then says this may be the perfect time to do the match one last time. And when they do, they will find out who the real failure is. Styles agrees.

-Angle meets with Prichard, D Lo and Snow. He wants Wes Briscoe to get a Gutcheck shot. They argue a bit, and say that “they need to go through the process.” Angle says Tazz likes the idea to try and sell it to them.

#1 Contender’s Match: James Storm vs. Bobby Roode

Storm attacks during the introductions and starts whooping Roode’s ass! Mounted rights in the corner, clotheslines follow and then a back elbow by Roode sends Storm to the floor. Roode takes a turnbuckle pad off as the ref counts out Storm. Storm back in, knees by Roode, and then gets a single arm DDT. Roode drags Storm to the corner and slams the arm off the steel post…

~commercial time~

We are back from commercial as Roode counters a sunset flip and continues to work the arm of Storm. Roode remains in control here, working the arm in the ropes and then beats him down with rights. Roode lays the boots to the arm of Storm, and then locks in a top wristlock. Storm works to his feet, takes Roode to the corner but Roode whips his across the ring, and Storm favors the arm as Roode covers for 2. Roode back to the top wristlock, Storm looks to work to his feet and escapes. Rights to Roode follow, head butt by Roode but Storm back with the Russian leg sweep. Roode looks for the arm bar, counter and clotheslines by Storm. Atomic drop, and the neck breaker follows. Storm sent to the apron, but kicks Roode in the head and now goes up top. Roode crotches him, rights follow. Roode up top, tossed to the mat, but he comes back and lands a big right to Storm. Roode up top now again, looks for the suplex but Storm fights back and over top of Roode and then hits a powerbomb and covers for 2. Whirly bird try by Storm countered and Roode hits the spinebuster for 2. Roode now locks in the crossface, Storm fights and manages to get the ropes. Roode goes for a hammerlock slam, but Storm gets the backstabber, followed by the lung blower! Storm now looks for the last call superkick, almost hits the ref, Roode tosses Storm into the exposed buckle and rolls him up, with the tights, for the pin.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Bobby Roode @ 12:00 via pin

-Roode celebrates as Storm sits in the ring, looking like a failure again.
