It’s the day after a PPV, and we’re promised the son of a plumber, the daughter of a billionaire, and a twisted sister! Let’s do this!

Welcome to 411’s LIVE WWE Raw Report 9.16.13

We start the show with the NEWWW WWE Champion being announced bt Justin “He choked me before” Roberts! We get a Daniel Bryan chant. Bryan calls the crowd awesome and he says there are a lot of things he wants to say right now, but he thinks what says it best is “YES! YES! YES! x’s 305.” The Yes Party is interrupted by the King of Things.

The presence of Triple H’s schnozz doesn’t deter Bryan from smiling, and rubbing his belt. Trips says before he heads too far down the road of celebration, he wants to talk about the fast count. Trips says erryone be chattin bout it, yo. He wants to get to the bottom of it and brings Scott Armstrong out to the ring. Armstrong comes out to The New Age Outlawz music..I’m kidding, he comes out to a bunch of NOs!

Triple H wants to show the footage of last night (but what about the replay?!) Before we see the end of the match from Sunday, Triple H wants to show the crowd Scott’s “normal cadence” of three-counts, the lesson given in Reffing 101. Triple H now wants to show the finish of NOC. Let’s all watch the cadence, guys. Obviously, Armstrong’s beat is just a bit faster. For those who cannot discern the difference, Trips has brough a side-by-side replay of said count. Triple H spells it out very thoroughly for us dumb folks.

Armstrong admits to it being a fast count, and that he made a mistake. Triple H mentions that he is a senior official, and that kind of fast count doesn’t just happen. Armstong calls it a mistake. Triple H says he has never seen a mistake like that on behalf of Armstrong. He has a feeling that Scott is not telling Triple H everything. Triple H wants the R-Truth. Armstrong looks at Bryan, says, “They got us, Daniel.” Bryan is all like….huh?

Triple H sends Armstrong to the back, then gets back on Daniel. He says that Bryan has embarrassed the WWE and himself by entering into a conspiracy to ensure a fast count. Triple H is disappointed, especially now that he is lying. As of this moment, Triple H is holding the WWE Championship. He will not return it to Randy Orton, but as of right now, Bryan is no longer the WWE Champion. He can understand the frustration, and investigate, and there might possibly be a rematch in the future but as of right now, we’re going to ned that belt.

Triple H namedrops Shawn Michaels, saying Bryan has disgraced family, friends, and thought HBK taught him better than this. Hand it over, or he will take it, says the Hs.

Orton is here! He rushes down, but Triple H calms him down, saying he’s got this. He says there’s not going to be any fight right now. He tells Bryan to be reasonable; he is no longer the WWE Champion. The title is held up, there is no champion. He will get to the bottom of it, but for now, the belt needs to be in Trip’s possession, or he promises that he will take it from Bryan. Bryan holds the belt, striggles with his decision, looks at the crowd – who is chanting NO – Bryan says no and tries to walk. Triple H holds his arm, and Randy Orton RKOs him. Triple H takes the belt, and leaves. Orton stands above Bryan in the ring as we go to our first commercial break.

-Commercial Break

Backstage, HHH is talking to Steph. Orton runs in the back and wants the title. Steph breaks in and wants to know who the hell Orton thinks he is. She wants to know what happened to the sick bastard that handcuffed trips and gave her the lip lock. Until Orton finds that dude, maybe they’ll find a new face of the WWE. She walks out and Trips reiterates that THAT is the guy they’re looking for.

To the ring Dean Ambrose is already standing in the center. It appears we’re going to get a rematch as Dolph’s music hits and here….we…go!

Match 1: Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler
Brought to you by Foot Locker and Head & Shoulders

Lockup! Ambrose gets Dolph in the corner. Dolph rolls out of it. They hug it out into the other corner. Ambrose with a right hand. Dolph fires back, getting out of the corner. Side headlock into a whip, and Dolph gets the shoulder block then Pelvic thrust. Rope work ends in a cross body from Dolph. Clothesline onto Ambrose from Dolph, sending him over the top rope. We come back to Ambrose getting a “regular count” two then locks the ankle of Dolph from behind. Ambrose tries for a bow and arrow, but kinda messes up. They save that spot very nicely with Dolph rolling out and Dean locking the arm. Dolph turns into it and hits a right or two, then hits the ropes. Ambrose side steps and moves Dolph to the apron! He grabs the head of Dolph and sends him into the turnbuckle. Dean lifts Dolph up to the top rope, then rakes the back like a BAWS! Nice, Ambrose! Butterfly suplex off the top rope from Ambrose!!!Pin for 1….2…NO! Ambrose hits the ropes, drops an elbow, pins for 1….2..NO!! Ambrose locks the arms from behind. Dolph with an elbow, another, another, another, another, another, another, another, another……OOOOOOOOOOOOO, ONE MORE! Pin for 1….2….NO!!! Ambrose with a whip, reverse, Ambrose catches Ziggler. SPINEBUSTER! Ambrose shows frustration. He turns Ziggler and mounts him. Punches to the head. He gets to six before the ref stops him. Is that a new ref?

Ambrose lifts Dolph, sets up for the neckbreaker, but Dolph grabs the arm. BACKSLIDE!! Dolph hops over Ambrose, onto the top rope, Ambrose grabs the trunks and just pulls him back to the mat, hard! Ambrose sets up for his finisher! Dolph gets out. ZIG ZAG! Pin! 1….2…..3!!!

Maaaaaaaaan, if you didn’t enjoy that, you need a hug. Fun as hell and the crowd LOVED it! I didn’t get to catch the PPV, but if it was like this, sign me up! What say you? Better or worse than last night?
RATING: ***1/2

For whatever reason, Justin Roberts announces that Dean Ambrose was STILL the United States Champion….ooooook.

Backstage, The Big Show and Maddox are standing. Brad says that the power couple will be coming soon…an apparently, Stephanie is still a Ms.

-Commercial Break

We’re back, and Brad is confirming that Trips wants Bryan to face Roman Reigns. He informs Steph that Dusty is here and leaves. Steph goes to Show, and tells him that last Friday Night, he was suspended without pay. Tonight, he will sit down, stay in this office, and stay out of trouble, unless Steph needs him – in which case, she will call.

The Paulrus! Ha!

The man known as Fandango is here! Well, first it’s Ms. Rae, then Fandango. The crowd plays along, and Summer continues to have some nice outfits.

JBL calls out the ref who called the Mayweather fight a draw. haha. Good ol JBL. Speakin of him, we come back to the show with JBL What’s Upping. This stems from the dance-off last week on Smackdown in which Fandango lost – then got double teamed…

Clean win for Fandango, if only he could get one over someone that mattered…ie: not The Miz
RATING: **

Backstage, Dusty Rhodes is surrounded by Superstars as if he’s heading to his funeral or something…

-Commercial Break

The Common Man is here! He’s lookin slim and trim. He has a solemn walk, noticeably not dancing, jukin, or jivin. This is gonna be good.

He appreciates our adulation, but he’s not here as The American Dream tonight. He’s here as Virgil Runnels and he wants the McMahons to hear what he has to say. They’ve never been down that bad road. He raised his family, and in that process you can’t pay your bills. If this crowd WHATs him one more time, Imma stab a puppy. He says that he reaches down regardless of those bills because of the love of your children and your son and find a way to do it. This is not about him, it’s about Cody’s job. In one night, you watched a suffering young man lose his job. Not for the fight of the game, never turned down a shot, but on a whim “What’s good for business?” He wants to talk about what’s best for business. Goldust comes in and steps up to the plate, and takes a mighty swing. Having two sons you are proud of, that you love, is WHAT’S BEST FOR BUSINESS.

Don’t you ever think that God’s greatest gift to each and every one of you is a child, your family, your business, to exist! And they exist to be the best. Before Cody was 22, he was 2 time IC Champ, and in one night, you broke his heart. With that being said, he didn’t call for this meeting, he didn’t say he was going to beg, he just said he wanted the opportunity to earn that job back. He calls Stephanie Levesque, says whatever that proposal is – drag them long legs out here and get with it.

Steph comes out clapping, then heads into the ring. She extends her hand, and Dusty accepts. She says that what he said was beautiful, from one parent to another, Virgil, that was remarkable. Her husband’s business decision to fire Rhodes has been weighing on them a lot. She understands that it may have casted a shadow over the wedding, so she has something. She hands him a gift certificate for Bed, Bath and Beyond. Dusty tosses the card like it’s a piece of shizz. She tells her to cut through the BS.

Steph wants to relate to the Son of a plumber, because she is the daughter of a genius. There’s a lot of pressure that comes with that. As we all know, business is all about succeeding. Doing what’s right for business, they’d like to offer Cody his job back. Rhodes says that’s what he wanted and is about to leave. Steph says, instead, that she can give Goldust his job back as well! It could be Dusty’s choice.

Dusty says he’s not going to make that choice. He wants a question. Before he can, Steph wants to put it another way. Dusty tells her not to interrupt him! He can give the job to his baby boy, the one who has a whole lot of life left, or give it to the one he left due to being on the road. He can redeem himself for being the father that was never there. He could be a hero to his sons. The choice is his. Dusty has a question. In the morning, when she wakes up for breakfast, you line them up the table and say, “ok you’re my favorite, you other two go on and go to bed.” No, he’ll tell somethin else. He’ll tell them all

Steph interrupts him, saying he is making it all about himself. What about Cody? What about Goldust? Just going to leave them behind like he always has? She hopes they can find it in their hearts to forgive him. Dusty tells Stephanie that she can go straight to hell and is about to walk out….

The Shield’s music hits! Here comes the boys! They surround the ring. Steph says this hardly seems fair. She calls out The Big Show to “even things out.” Show comes out, all confused. Steph says that since Dusty couldn’t decide on who to bring back, he will either be “dismembered by The Shield” or get knocked out by The Big Show. Dusty won’t choose, so Steph tells Big Show to knock him out. Show struggles with the decision, shaking his head no like he’s being forced to eat liver. Show backs up to the ropes. Steph then tells The Shield to get him. Big Show says, “YOU DON’T FUCKIN TOUCH HIM!” OOOOOOOO.

Reigns brings in three chairs and hands two to his counterparts. They tell Show to knock out Dusty or they’re going to cause some damage. Big Show hugs Dusty and tells him he’s gotta do it. Big Show says he’s sorry to Dusty, and balls up the fist. He gives Dusty a hard right hand, and catches his fallen fellow, lowering him down to the ground like a sacrificed animal. That was….pretty sad, actually. Show cries over the legend as the docs check on him.

King goes Kanye West on us, asking how she could be so heartless.

-Commercial Break

Backstage, and Show is walkin the EMT’s out as they usher Dusty into the ambulance. Show says he’s coming with, and hops into the back of the ambulance. Booker is standing by with some jobber as we head to the ring for a six divas’ tag team match. AJ is ringside…mmmm…and Natalya is here, too. Her headset doesn’t seem to be working and they try to make it as if AJ had something to do with it. Nice little cover, as they bring up her being a GM at one time.

Match 3: Brie Bella and The Funkadactyls vs Layla, Aksana, and Alicia Fox

Layla and Naomi to start. Layla knees her down, but Naomi kips up and hits a booty bump and a pin for 1…2…NO! Tag to Cameron. She kicks Layla, then gets tagged by Alicia, distracting her for Layla. Layla with a kick and she sends Cameron into the corner. Tag to Aksana. Aksana chokes Cameron up in the corner with her foot and tags Alicia. Alicia with a whip into the corner. Tag to Layla. Layla with a boot choke. Tag to Aksana. Aksana hits the back as AJ says all she needs is her. Nattie’s headset isn’t working.

Snapmare by Alicia into a headlock from behind. AJ on commentary is wonderful. King gives Nattie his headset. Alicia with a body slam. Alicia goes for her leg drop, but misses it. Tag to Brie who tosses Layla off the apron. Alicia next. She grabs Aksana.
All six girls in the ring and Brie hits something that NOBODY sees. She gets the pin for 1…2…3!!
Official Result:

RATING: 1/2*

After the match, Nattie goes up to AJ. AJ stands and holds her belt high.

Sandow is in the ring, and I’ve noticed the past week or so, they’ve really been cutting down on the entrances. Every match last week and this has had at least one cut entrance.

Match 4: Damien Sandow vs Rob Van Dam (w/ Ricardo Rodriguez)

Sandow gets RVD into the corner and gets a few stomps in. Headbutt from Sandow. Whip to the corner is reversed. RVD goes for a monkey flip, but Sandow moves, gets a quick pin, hits some right hands, and pins again. Sandow gets RVD into the corner, shoulder thrust, but RVD reverses, hits a right and a left, goes for a whip. Reveresed. Sandow with a knee. Elbow of Disdain. Pin for 1….2…NO! Cravat from behind goes Sandow. RVD turns into it and hits some elbows but Sandow hits the back, wihp to the corner, runs into a boot, misses a right and Van Dam hits a frankensteigner. Pin for 1…2…NO! clothesline. Another. Toss to the mat. Rolling Thunder, but Sandow counters with the knees. Pin for 1…2..NO! Sandow goes for a kick, but RVD grabs and hits a spinning heel kick.
Thrust kick from the corner to Sandow! RVD goes up top! Sandow is in the middle of the ring. FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! Pin for 1….2…3!!
Official Result:
The entire thing seemed rush, and I question if this was Sandow’s entrance to the main event, or simply a way to keep RVD strong.
RATING: *1/2

Sound dude fucks up and plays Sandow’s music for a second.

I forgot to tell you guys, but The Miz and Brad Maddox were chattin up a storm in the back a segment or two ago. Cole says that Maddox said something to make The Miz very happy. What the news is, is that The Miz will be facing Randy Orton in his hometown tonight.

-Commercial Break

Backstage, Triple H is contemplating. Apparently, he called Armstrong into his office. Here’s the stripes. H is in a jam. He can’t have this. There is no WWE Champ at this time, and that’s a problem. WWE Officials have to have integrity. He’s been a loyal employee here for 20 years, and he’s going to offer Scott a really generous severance package….he’s gotta let him go. Scott tries to talk, but Triple H stops him and tells Scott that he’s gonna take care of him. It’s going to be ok….hmmmm

The Miz is announced as “Cleveland’s own.” Miz goes to hug his mom, and Orton just attacks dat azz. Orton on the outside, mounts The Miz and gives him some hard right hands. We go to a commercial break as Miz’s parents stand astounded. They look like extras in Napoleon Dynamite

We’re back, and the ref is trying to take The Miz backstage, but he heads in the ring, holding his arm, and wants the match.

Match 5: Randy Orton vs The Miz
Maybe…

Miz shoots, pulls the legs, and attacks hardcore with the punches. Orton is able to get up, hit a headbutt, and a hard clothesline in the corner. He goes for another, but Miz tosses an elbow. Orton fights back with some rights. He sends Miz to the outside, goes for his DDT, but Miz flips over, sends Orton on the apron, then hangs him up. Outside, Miz drives Orton into the apron, then the barricade, back to the apron, and the barricade one more time! Orton grabs Miz from the ground, and tosses Miz headfirst into the ring post! Orton stands, shakes off the pain, and grabs The Miz. The ref calls for the bell, and we have a countout.

Official Result: Double Countout

RATING: NR

Orton grabs The Miz and tosses him over the announce table into the seats. He stomps Miz a bit more, then lifts him up and takes him back towards the barricade. He socks The Miz up in front of Roberts, then takes him into the crowd, right by Miz’s parents. The Miz tries to fight back! The crowd loves it! Clothesline over the barricade!! Miz lifsts Orton, but Orton pulls down and drops Miz onto the barricade chest first. He turns Miz around, pulls him closer to his parents, and hits some right hands, starin at his dad who looks as uncomfortable as fuck. He grabs The Miz and I think he wants the DDT. Yup. DDT off the barricade as The Miz’s mom sells. Orton drags Miz then lifts him, and sends him back in the ring.

Orton goes to grab a chair. He gives The Miz’s parents the eye. You know which one 😉

Orton into the ring with the chair. He locks Miz’s head in the chair. There is no punt, but Orton stomps him.

For Q

We return with Heyman being wheeled out, all smiles and shaved. Ryback’s music accompanies he, Heyman, and Axel. Curtis shakes the hand of Paul then heads to the back, leaving Ryback to stand aside Heyman. Heyman on the mic: he calls himself the best in the world. He says that Envy is one of the seven deadly sins, and it must be difficult to compare his life time acheivements versus all of ours. There’s not one of us that can make this statement: “I pinned CM Punk.” I hope Lita ain’t watchin…

Heyman says he can say it over and over again, and every time he does, it will be the truth. He brings up that the first time he and CM Punk came face to face, the winner was Paul Heyman. The loser? OUR Hero, CM Punk. Heyman says that this time, there was no master plan. CM Punk had him dead to right. He ignores some massive Goldberg chants. CM Punk beat his ass so badly that he’s confined to a wheelchair. It’s a miracle that he is not some veg, rotting away in a nursing home right now. How did he pull this off? He’s here tonight because one man took the initiative to make history. One man stood up. Heyman says he owes his life to Ryback.

Ol Meathead gets on the stick. If there’s one thing he cn’t stand, it’s a bully. Did you see Punk bully Heyman last night? Heyman didn’t deserve that beating. He tells Punk that he doesn’t like him, anything bout him. Punk is a bully, and Ryback is here to stop him. He gets on one knee, aside Heyman, and tells him that he never has to worry again, because as long as he is around, Punk will never put his hands on him. Heyman gives Ryback a kiss on the cheek….

Heyman gives Ryback a kiss on the cheek…

We get an update about The Miz. His thorax is damaged, but his neck isn’t broken. Dusty is doin alright, too.

We’re back with Bray Wyatt, talking about patience and how it is a lost art. People want everything now, now, now. They don’t realize that beyond their precious sitting walls, there is another world full of animals, just like ours, his world. In his world, when an animal is sick or hurt, there is no fumbling around in agony. No, the animal is put down. Wanna see somethin really scary? (interspliced finishing moves of Bray Wyatt).
