Welcome to the ECW on Sci-Fi. As always, I am Michael Bauer, your 411 ECW Re-capper.

We open with Vince McMahon walking into the arena and being welcomed in by Marquis Cor Von and being ignored by The Sandman. Vince admonishes him for drinking on the job and wonders where he got his name. Sandman then spits his beer at McMahon as he walks away.

Joey Styles and Tazz are at ringside and they continue the hype of McMahon being here.

CM Punk vs. Matt Striker

Punk had 28 minutes in the rumble, not bad for an ECW guy. Punk looked to be in a bad mood… speaking of a bad mood. The bell rings and Striker catches Punk with some shots to the face. But tonight, it’s Test vs. Bobby Lashley in yet another rematch.

Back from the break and Vince runs into Rebecca and Tommy Dreamer. After getting a hug from Rebecca, he makes fun of Dreamer’s name. Vince doesn’t deal in dreams, but in reality. Dreamer also looks pissed as Styles notices Vince’s disdain for the ECW originals.

Winner: Hardcore Holly

Backstage, Vince runs into Sabu and calls him a member of the Taliban. OUCH! Vince warns Sabu to stay away from him. Vince then heads to the ring before the break. Tazz hypes that Vince said that changes are coming.

Back from the break and here comes Vince McMahon, as he runs into Balls Mahoney. He recognizes that Mahoney is Irish and wonders if he really has any balls.

In the ring we have Extreme Expose, with Kelly, Layla, and Brooke. Oh joy, three women shaking their asses and doing a dance rountine on a wrestling show. The crowd is so dead for this. These three need tons of work, that’s all I can say. And I never though I’d say it, but thank god for Vince McMahon for ending this thing.

Vince hates to interupt, but he kicks the girls and the security out of the ring. Vince promises not to be embarassed again as history is being made since Vince has never been in an ECW ring. He says the ECW originals suck as does anything about the original ECW, including the fans. He says that is going to change the ECW into something meaningful with great athletes instead of drunken, suicidal misfits. He gives us an example of the epitome of the new ECW, Elijah Burke.. in some decent threads. He then gives the microphone to Burke. Burke calls standing with McMahon an honor and that he has the respect of the people. He stops for a photo opportunity and then assures Vince that the fans were saying “Amen” and that all the originals are going to feel his wrath. The “Boring” chants start up and they shouldn’t stop. The ECW original music starts up and out comes the Sandman from the back and Burke starts beating down on Sandman as Dreamer and Balls come out, followed by Sabu and all four men beat down on Elijah Burke. Balls gets off his punches and he elbow. Sandman has the cane… and Burke gets cracked over the head. Dreamer’s turn… DDT! Sabu’s turn… he gets a table from under the ring and a chair. They set up the table in the ring as Sabu heads up top… super Arabian Facebuster… OH MY GOD!!! The ECW originals stand tall as McMahon got “trumped” again. McMahon is pissed as we head to break and when we come back, the rematch.

ECW Title Match: Bobby Lashley vs. Test

We are back and out comes Bobby Lashley for this title match. Test comes out, but he doesn’t looks as focused as normal. He takes his time getting into the ring and the bell rings. Lashley dumps Test to the outside quickly. Lashley goes after him, but gets kicked in the gut. Test throws Lashley into the ring post and then he peels back the ring mat. Test grabs Lashley and tries to piledrive Lashley into the concrete, but Lahsley reverses into a back body drop on the concrete as he head to a commercial at 1:15.
