Beyond Wrestling’s All Killer 02 Review

Match #1 – Anthony Stone vs. Bobby Ocean

Decent back and forth affair. Stone has seen a lot better matches, and Ocean just wasn’t very impressive. A somewhat lukewarm match to start off this edition of the All Killer. While the match shouldn’t be skipped, it will probably be quickly forgotten. Stone is a Beyond regular, and has also competed in Chikara’s Young Lion’s Cup. Searching for another match of his is a good idea.
Rating: **

Match #2 – Team Tremendous vs. Scotty Wild and Johnny Miyagi

Not a lot to see here. Dan Barry is the only person in the match who was able to bring some worthwhile wrestling. Not a good thing during a tag team match. Wild and Miyagi just didn’t gel as a team, and a lot of their offense was basic stuff. Like with Stone in the last match, Team Tremendous have had better matches in this promotion.
Rating: *

Match #3 – Nick Talent vs. Drew Gulak

Very good, hard hitting affair from these two. Match went as the relative rookie Talent going against the seasoned Gulak. Great technical and strike work seen from both pro wrestlers. Must be noted there was a scary bump on the floor involving one of the other wrestlers at ringside that I believe could have led to Talent’s retirement if something went wrong. Skipping that, you’ll find that Talent and Gulak have some good chemistry and their back and forth contest is great.
Rating: ***1/2

Match #4 – Aaron Epic vs. Darius Carter

Another decent match for the All Killer. Epic and Carter are both regulars for Beyond. Epic is known for his well place strikes, and Carter for his ruthless attitude. One of the problems with this match is that it followed the great encounter between Gulak and Talent. So while there is nothing wrong with the match in general, it just would have been better placement to put it before Gulak/Talent, which was the best match of this All Killer.
Rating: **1/2

The 411: Somewhat of a middle of the road string of matches. Best match is Talent/Gulak, and no one would be blamed if all they did was watch that match and skipped the rest. The best way to watch this is to skip to Epic/Carter, and then go back to watch Talent/Gulak. Support Pro Wrestling! Find out more about Beyond Wrestling: Website YouTube Facebook Twitter
